Not Cut for Marriage

November 22nd 2006 08:36
There was once a lady professor that I've talked with regarding relationships. She was so proud to tell me that she married not because she wants to but because she had to. According to her, if she could only have it her way, she will never tie the knot with anyone. She did not tell me why, though.

She's pretty I know and boy does she know herself, too. She brags about it every single day without being verbose about all the time, ok sometimes. The woman would always smell of fresh scents that her age does not complement. Not that there's a certain scent for every age. But there's just some scents that are more appropriate for a certain age, won't you agree?

She is perfect, according to her. Until I was told that she's no longer a professor, an instructor, a teacher. She no longer works for the institution she used to work for. Madam got involved with a married man, her co-professor.

I figured she's not just not cut for marriage, she's not cut for fidelity, too.

Anti-smoking ashtray screams and coughs
If you are a light smoker who don't want to get addicted to the habit or a chain smoker who would just want a bit of sarcasm in your house or office or maybe just some humor, this Coughing Screaming Ashtray can be a great addition to your collection of ashtrays. Nice Christmas gift, too to those who would want to be reminded how smoking can kill them. Agree?

For 9.99, you can get hold of this Coughing Screaming Ashtray novelty item.

Your Are What You Want To Be

"Neither one person, nor any number of persons, is warranted in saying to another human creature of ripe years that he shall not do with his life for his own benefit what he chooses to do with it. All errors he is likely to commit against advice and warning are far outweighed by the evil of allowing others to constrain him to do what they deem his good." - an essay excerpt of John Stuart Mill's On Liberty

How Do You Retract Hurtful Words?

October 22nd 2006 19:25
Self-Flagellator
Oftentimes when caught in a heated altercation, we can be oh-so-stupid enough to say equally idiotic statements like "You beaaatch, I wish I believed my friends when they told me you won't do good as my wife!" or something to that effect?

Bursting with animosity might prompt us to deliver those harsh words. But how about those who are tactless or brutally frank people who can't live a day without hurting someone just by saying a few words?

In any of those mentioned situations, what do you usually do to extinguish the fire you've lit yourself? How do you tell that person that you were just possessed by an evil spirit when you said those words? Or do you even try?
