Of Men Not Wanting to Get Married

Logged on my RSS aggregator and started reading my feeds. One news piqued my curiosity, it's title included something about "bachelor's menace."
It turned out the bachelor menace is about single men working in a residential area, "leering at the womenfolk and sometimes even trying to peep through doors and windows to catch a glimpse of the ladies." It didn't immediately dawn on me that it's a Qatari online news site I'm reading.
I remember my World History instructor mentioning dowry as some money or property that parents of eligible bachelorettes require before they nod on any lad's wedding proposal. Or is it the other way around?
So the Qatari government's solution? A Ramadan special of QR5000 for a wedding package. This bargain is supposed to entice bachelors to get married ASAP and...
The possibility of embarking on a low-key wedding will also discourage young Qatari men from picking up "bad habits", - The Peninsula Qatar
That sitch in endemic in Qatar. But it got me thinking - in places where dowry is not an issue, what are the baddest of alibis why men don't want to get married earlier? Is not getting tired of the peeping-tom-still-loves-flipping-channels role or something to that affect one major reason? Lack of biological clock like women? Commitment-phobia?
What nightmare will make men want to get married?
Aww, PMS!!!
